Can I use my own domain name?

If you have a domain name that you would like to use for your ArtSite, that can be done.  There is a $200 charge to cover our time to help with the set-up.

There are a few technical steps to make that work.

  1. You'll need to be able to edit the domain DNS records, to point the A record to our server:  172.232.189.67
  2. Let us know what your domain name is, so we can add it internally and point it to your website.
  3. We will purchase an SSL certificate and install that for you, so that your domain will be secure.
  4. In order for your website to send out emails (order notifications, receipts, the contact form) from a custom domain email address, you will need to use Option 2 on the "configuring your website email" instructions page.  Option 1 would still work, but you might not wish to have emails sent out from the info@artsite.studio address.

A simpler and easier solution you might consider is to use an ArtSite subdomain, and simply forward your custom domain to your ArtSite subdomain.  So if your domain is something like:  sally-artist.com, and your ArtSite domain is: sally.artsite.studio, at your domain name registrar you will likely find a tool that allows you to forward all traffic going from your domain to another domain.  So someone who types in your normal domain (sally-artist.com) will be redirected to sally.artsite.studio.
